410 SPRINTS & 358 MODIFIEDS INVADE GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY FOR BIG DOUBLEHEADER TUESDAY NIGHT

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings will present one of the biggest events of the 2016 Thunder Series when the 410 Sprints and 358 NASCAR Modifieds invade the “hill” for an exciting double header.  The 410 Sprints will take part in the Annual Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week Series event chasing $5,000 to win.  The 358 Modifieds will chase a $3,000 payday.  Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

Pre-entered 410 sprint drivers include Double “D” Danny Dietrich of Gettysburg, PA, winner of the Thunder Cup at Grandview in 2015.  Prior to the Thunder Cup, Greg Hodnett won the four previous 410 shows at Grandview.  Other entries include Bryan Clauson, Freddie Rahmer, Lucas Wolfe,  JJ Grasso, Billy Dietrich,  Ryan Smith, Alan Krimes, Aaron Ott, Brent Marks, Ryan Taylor and Davey Sammons to name a few.

Time trials for the 410 sprints will open the show and a new one lap track record could be established.   Jeff Shepard holds the current fast time mark of 11.433 set on May 21, 2008.   Heat race qualifying, the “B” main and a 35 lap 410 sprint feature will headline the race card.  The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will compete in a series of heat race events, a consolation and a $3,000 to win 30 lap feature.   Rick Laubach parked in victory lane winning the modified feature at the Thunder Series event on Tuesday night, June 7.

Adult admission tickets are $25, children 6 -11  $10 and children under 5 will be admitted for free.   A pit license is not required and the pit fee is $35.

Advance grandstand tickets may be reserved by calling 443 513 4456.   Please leave your name, the number of tickets and a phone number.    You may pick-up and purchase your tickets on race night (Tuesday, June 28) at the Will Call Window after 4 PM.   Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstand at 4:30 PM.     General admission tickets will go on sale at 5 PM.

Race fans are invited to come out early and take part in the always entertaining Low, Down & Dirty Meet & Greet that takes place at the front gate.   Several drivers and cars will be on display to welcome the race fans to Thunder on the Hill.   Race fans may also sign up to take part in the Pre-Race Pit Tours.   It is absolutely free, just sign up at the main gate and take a tour of the pit area prior to the start of the races.   Did you always have a desire to watch a few laps from the infield?  Well, you can at any Thunder on the Hill event.  Sign up inside the front gate for the Inside-Out Promotion and you can watch warm-ups from the infield.

Of course, after the racing event  you are invited to be part of the victory lane celebration and also visit all the competitors in the pit area.

The Tuesday, June 28 event will be the one-hundred and twentieth Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event at Grandview and 2016 marks the twenty-seventh season of the Thunder Series.
